I just looked at the calendar and realized that January is fast disappearing. That means its time to start spreading some Valentine's day love to our house with some heart shaped decorations. We started our Valentine's decorating with some easy pipe cleaner and bead hearts.
I had the boys pick out 2 pipe cleaners and twisted them together for about 2 inches leaving 2 ends to put beads on. And yes I use my nice vases to hold pipe cleaners and art supplies! Who needs flowers when you have pipe cleaners?
The boys started adding beads to their pipe cleaners. This is good for building fine motor skills.
Once they said they were finished adding bead I twisted then ends together to make a heart.
Finished
I added some curling ribbons to hang our creations.

ReplyDeleteWe just found your page on Facebook and we love it. We did these hearts the other day and my 3 1/2 year old son loved it. I didn't think he was going to be interested in doing it, so I gave him a different activity to do. As soon as he saw what I was doing he took mine away from me and continued on. Such a fun activity.
ReplyDeleteThank you for being you.
