6 Ways to have fun with SNOW!

We have SNOW! So here are 6 ways to have fun with snow:

1. Explore in the snow
Everything in our backyard looks different with a blanket of snow so the boys spent a while running around looking at how everything looked in the snow.

2. Polar bear tube rides
If we can't get to a sledding hill I pull them around the yard on our polar bear tube.
3. Stick your head in it
I'm not up for sticking my head in the snow but when I asked L what was something fun you could do with snow his answer was "stick your head in it!"

4. Make Snow Ice cream
We made a super simple snow ice cream. You need clean snow and sweetened condensed milk.
Put a scoop of snow in your bowl.
Add some sweetened condensed milk about a tablespoon and stir well.
Top with sprinkles if desired and eat
5. Write letters in snow
We practiced writing letters in the snow with Popsicle sticks
 6. Watercolor paint on snow
We had tons of fun with this. I put some snow on plates and let the boys paint it with water color paints.

It was a lot of fun and looked pretty cool
This was our collaborative snow painting that we all contributed to.
E started making little snow balls to paint too
Watching some of our art melt.

  7. We have only had one good snow and it was 60 degrees a few days later, so it didn't last long. We're waiting for more snow (I'm shocked we haven't had more than a few inches so far) so we can do some color mixing and build a snowman! I love the idea of painting it too!

  15. I've let my boys take paint outside to color the snow, but I love your idea of bringing the snow in to paint and watching it melt. I can't wait for winter again to try it out!
