I've seen a lot of busy bags ideas on pinterest and I've been waiting to make a bunch. Today I found a small mesh zipper bag that's a little bigger than a snack size Ziploc bag and I thought it would be a good idea to make purse sized busy bags. During this time of year we get busy, go out to dinner, the lines at stores are long and I thought it would be nice to have some activities for the kids that would be right inside my purse.
I came up with 6 activities that each fit in a snack size Ziploc bag and all fit in the mesh bag.
Here's whats in each bag:
Crayola Model Magic Dough- E loves this stuff. Its a very lightweight dough that air dries and is less sticky than play dough. It's a little pricey but I bought some for making ornaments when it was on sale at A.C. Moore. I put two balls of the dough in the bag and smashed it til it was as flat as possible.
Color matching memory game made from Disney paint samples
Legos- the boys are just starting to be able to play with the smaller (not duplo) legos. I put about a handful in the bag enough to play with without making a giant mess.
Small plastic dinosaurs and animals from the dollar store
Pipe cleaners in Christmas colors for making candy canes
A few sheets of 4 by 6 scrapbook paper and stickers
We tried these bags out at a restaurant and they were a big hit. The boys came up with the idea to use the legos to stamp on the Model Magic dough.
