Wrapping Paper Jingle Bells

We read the book Jingle Bells Illustrated by Darcy May. The words in the book are the lyrics to the well known Christmas Carole Jingle Bells. It is easy to sing along to the story. The illustrations really bring the song to life. Both boys enjoyed looking at the pictures and were starting to sing along to the chorus.
To go along with the book we made Jingle bells decorated with wrapping paper scraps.

We used green construction paper for the bell, red craft foam circles, gold cord, wrapping paper scraps, foam Christmas stickers, crayons, glue stick, tape and scissors.
I folded the green paper and drew half of a bell shape.
L was able to cut out the bell. I helped E with the cutting.
Tape  the cord and red circle to the back of the bell.

 Decorate as desired:
L liked cutting pieces of wrapping paper to use.
E asked me to cut a few pictures out of the wrapping paper and used a lot of the foam stickers.

E made a gingerbread family.

They wanted to decorate with crayons or markers too.

Finished bells hung near our Christmas tree.
