Sugar Cookie Play Dough

I was making a new batch of play dough today and thought it would be fun for the holidays to make dough that looks and smells like sugar cookie dough. I added a couple of drops of yellow food color and a generous dose of vanilla extract to my normal play dough recipe and it looks and smells pretty close to the real thing. Warning after playing with this I really want some cut out cookies!
Sugar Cookie Scented Play Dough (not edible)
2 cups hot water
1 cup salt
1 Tbsp oil
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 drops yellow food coloring
2 cups all purpose flour
Optional- glitter- I added fine gold glitter
Add all the ingredients except the flour to a microwave safe bowl and mix. Then add the flour and mix well. I microwave the play dough in 1 minute  increments mixing each time. It normally takes 3-5 min. When it reaches a dough like consistency sprinkle with a little extra flour let cool. Then knead and play.
We set up a Holiday play dough bakery with Christmas cookie cutters, Christmas stamps, cupcake papers, some Christmas cupcake picks, rolling pin and beads for sprinkles.

The boys really enjoyed playing in their play dough bakery and Mommy had enough time to make our real dinner.
