Welcome!

Welcome to our blog I am planning to use this blog to share our love for learning, playing, reading, discovering and creating. I hope to share a lot of fun projects with all of you. I'd like to share a little bit about myself and my family. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education and M.S. in Literacy Specialist and am a New York State certified teacher. I have taught Pre-K and Kindergarten I LOVE teaching but when my first son L was born in Jan. 2007 my wonderful husband and I decided it would be best for our family if I stayed at home for awhile to focus on our family. My youngest son E was born 16 months later in June 2008.

We follow a vegetarian diet and try to lead a fairly Eco-friendly lifestyle. I love spending quality time with my family, crafts, gardening, hiking, camping, reading and cooking. My boys are both very active and keep me on my toes. I am in no way a perfect mom, nor do I strive to be one, but I've been making a lot of goals for myself and family and thought a blog would be a great way to keep myself on track. I'll describe some of my goals in a later post but first I'd like to share a little about my boys.

L is four years old and growing up way to fast. He's very active and loves sports, trucks, construction and dreams of becoming a fireman. He started a half day Pre-K program and I try to tie a lot of what we do at home in with what they are learning at school.

E is three years old. He loves anything animal related, stickers, play dough and drawing fish. He dreams of becoming an aquarium man (his words). He's still home with mom all day but we go to story times and gym classes together while big brothers at school.
