Christmas Q-tip Painting


 The boys painted Candy canes and Gingerbread shapes using q-tips. I gave them each a cut out construction paper shape, paint and Q-tips for painting. I try to change up painting with brushes from time to time and use something different. This is a quick and fun project that can be adapted to any holiday or theme by using a different shaped paper and different colored paint.

 They painted white stripes on their candy canes.









 The boys asked for red and green paint for their gingerbread men because they wanted to make different color candies. L was twisting his q-tip to make what looked like peppermint candies.

    Great idea! Since it was a different tool, he was able to use it in a different way (twisting) what a great "organic" learning experience :)

    What a fun Christmas painting craft. I am new to Q-tip painting, just did it for the first time last week :-). It's so fun to pull out new things to paint with. Thanks for coming to share on Monday Madness.
