I was trying to rearrange toys and books and clean for a good chunk of the day yesterday. I was trying to come up with ways to keep the kids occupied and busy. I got out a plastic under the bed storage bin and set up a toy bath so they could help me clean.
I put a few towels on the floor and put the bin on top and filled it with warm soapy water. I set a bin of plastic animals next to the bath for the boys to wash. I did tell the boys they could only give those toys bath any other toy they had to check with mommy first. This rule is mainly because our remote control has mysteriously wound up in a glass of water twice this week. I don't want anymore electronics going for a swim.
L requested we make an animal shower so we added a bowl and some cups for dumping the water.
Now we have some very clean farm animals.

ReplyDeleteHaha, clever mama. I love ways to have kids help you, without even realizing it. Water is one of the best.;)

Just stopping by from the Toys in the Dryer Linky Party. What a great way to involve the kids is cleaning without them even knowing it! My tot and preschooler love to help me sweep and dust. This activity will be the perfect way to keep them busy while I clean the bathroom. I'm also a teacher (currently a SAHM) and love sharing my ideas and checking out new blogs. I just joined your site on GFC...and Pinterest!
