Number Christmas Trees

 

This Christmas tree counting project fit all of my week before Christmas crunch criteria. It was easy, minimal prep, I had everything we needed on hand and it combines fine motor and math.

 I drew 6 trees on a piece of paper and numbered them 1-6. We also used crayons and stickers.

 First the boys colored their trees.

 Then they used the stickers to add the correct number of ornaments to each tree.

 E used the star stickers as the ornaments which is what I was thinking.

L insisted that each tree gets one star on top and we couldn't use the stars as ornaments so I found some heart stickers for his ornaments.

I know I've seen similar projects before but I can't remember where.
