So I was digging in my freezer and I found a bag of decaf coffee beans that I bought when I was pregnant with E. I was craving coffee made one cup then was completely turned off by the smell for the rest of my pregnancy so I tossed them in the freezer. Since E was born I have only wanted the full caffeinated version of coffee and since E is 3 I'm not thinking this coffee is good for anything except for playing with! If you don't have ancient coffee kicking around you can definitely get the same effect with beans or gravel.
So I piled the coffee beans in one end of the tub and added some construction vehicles. On the other side of the bin I made a numbered parking lot inspired by this game on Happy Brown House by drawing on tag board. The parking lot was for the construction workers to park in. I added some matchbox cars to park.
The boys had fun scooping and driving the cars and trucks around.

That looks like fun and I'm sure it smells wonderful...

ReplyDeleteOh, this is a very fun idea. I bet they had so much fun with it. I love the place for the workers to park.

ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome idea. I will definitely be trying this with my boys in the near future. Thanks for the inspiration. :)
ReplyDeleteHa I've never been a coffee drinker, but my complete repulsion to the smell of coffee (and my beloved french fries) was how I realized I was pregnant with my 2nd!
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to do something similar with a bag of decorative rocks I have...will definitely have to add the parking lot though!
